001. March 28th, 1979 As much as I do enjoy travel, it would be a terrible lie to say that I am not thrilled to return home. After being on the continent for so long, it's almost as if the rain in Wiltshire is a welcome. Nevertheless, much business was done, and in France, no less, a country, in my mind, second only to our own. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit my parents in Nice, which was lovely as usual.
I was, however, disturbed to come home to find a veritable witch hunt in what is supposed to be a trusted source for news. I do hope, for his jobs sake, that Mr Cuffe had suitable information, and for his safety, that he has suitable protection. I am of the opinion that most people, innocent of guilty, are not fond of being accused of terrorism.
